Recruitment consultancy

We have great relationships with our clients, many of them lasting over 10 years. Our thorough process ensures the right person is placed in the right job, every time.

Here's how we do it: we assign a specialist consultant to you. This consultant will visit you to take a detailed job brief in person. However, if you're short on time we can do this over the phone - the choice is yours. The job is added to our extensive database, which is then searched for suitable candidates. Copy is written and an advertisement is added to our website, the other jobsites we use and suitable trade magazines (at no extra cost to you of course). Appropriate candidates are met, probed and screened extensively. At this stage they are also given a full brief of the job and your company. Suitable candidates are then cherry picked and short listed. Their details will be sent to you with a full explanation of why we feel they are suitable, both from a professional and personal point of view. We will then follow up with you to arrange first interviews with suitable candidates, and then further interviews as necessary. Once you have chosen the right person for the job, we will negotiate the salary and benefits, finalise the deal and arrange start dates and contracts. Finally, once the candidate has started, we will follow up with both you and the candidate to ensure everything is running smoothly. And then, when you need somebody else, we do it all again.


Executive search

Our executive search ability is based on over 25 years of design industry relationships. Our network is unrivalled and has been the fundamental element in our continued success. We have developed partnerships with some of the world's leading architecture and design companies and make it our business to be fully aware of the movements and trends affecting practices, design houses and the people who shape them. This means we're able to deliver quickly on complex briefs.

So how do we do it? We meet with you to assess the needs, fit, succession planning and integration of the candidate. We then develop a detailed analysis of the type of candidate that would best suit the role and fit with the business plans. This director led analysis will also demonstrate alternative scope and fit for the position. You will receive a tailored contract outlining the agreed time specification for the search as well a detailed analysis of the market. The search team will then conduct a systematic investigation to identify potential candidates. Once these have been identified, they will be contacted, evaluated fully and the relevant candidates invited for an interview to discuss the role and determine their suitability. In the interview we will assess motivation to move to the client and extensively evaluate their skills, experience, knowledge, personality, culture fit and expectations. Once we're sure we have the best shortlist possible, interviews will be arranged with you.

Over the course of our history we have acted as confidante and strategic advisor to numerous design companies. Our wide industry experience allows us to think creatively and bring our clients fresh perspective. We work with them to help them achieve their business goals and objectives and to maximize value. This has ranged from acting as a sounding board for companies developing their business plan to advising on shifts and trends in the marketplace, particularly when companies are looking to explore new areas. We work with clients in a number of ways. These include facilitating board and company meetings, running workshops, future proofing key strategic decisions and training associates to take on the mantle of middle management.
