We are looking for a consultant with 3-5 years experience in FMCG structural packaging design/design management consulting to lead the development of an established consultancies visual strategy capability within their growing packaging team. You will have experience of: • 3-5 years in FMCG structural packaging design/design management consulting • Leading small teams • Combining analytical and intuitive thinking • Systematically breaking down and analysing a problem, and working creatively to develop a process to solve it • Situating subject matter within a wider context • Synthesising consumer insight, design/lifestyle trends and brand/semiotic analysis into design directions • Working within the constraints of brand strategy, commercial objectives and technical requirements • Developing cogent points of view and visually compelling design language strategies • Juggling projects, priorities and resources • Managing project budgets • Communicating recommendations in a clear, well structured and visually engaging manner • Delivering presentations to senior client audiences • Writing successful proposals Your main priorities will be to: • Leading multidisciplinary teams of 3-7 people, which also includes both internal people and external partners • Understand and develop cogent points of view on our clients’ key issues • Work with senior team members to facilitate and guide client teams through project processes • Deliver insightful, strategic and compelling presentations to senior management audiences • Help develop their key accounts by being responsive to client needs, pro-active on new opportunities and gathering intelligence on their business • Develop visual strategy processes, tools and resources • Coach junior staff in the development of their capabilities If you're interested, please don't hesitate to send your cv and examples of work as a pdf. An BA / BSc industrial design degree is essential as well as a minimum of five years commercial experience.
